Daniel Stewart Large was born in Port Hope, Ontario on April 13, 1992 at 10:02 AM. He lived his first few months in a farm house on the property of Trinity College School, the high school he where he would eventually be turned into a world class ball hockey centerman. Daniel moved to another house in Port Hope while he was still a baby and he would remain in that house for the rest of his life. He attended Central Public School from kindergarden to grade six. At this age, he began playing ice hockey and developed his ball hockey skills on the streets with his friends. Daniel spent grade seven and eight at Dr. Hawkins Senior Public School in Port Hope where he drifted from playing hockey and entered the life style of a rock star. He joined a band called Casual Friday, touring around Port Hope to various schools. He became ever more lazy as he spent time with the band, so was moved to Trinity College School in an attempt to straighten out his ways. He quickly jumped into competitive sports like Volleyball, Rowing, Squash and Nordic but found that he truly thrived in the ball hockey scene.

OHHA was created in July of 2008, and Daniel was drafted seventh overall by the Orchard O's in the first ever OHHA draft. He made the roster in the first season, playing on the second line. He put up respectable numbers, helping the team rocket its way to the the first OHHA Championship. He was also a key player in the all-TCS ball hockey tournament, of which the O's also won. Perhaps the most influential game that Daniel Large played in was the 'Miracle Win' in the 2008/2009 campaign. The O's were undefeated for the season, but saw themselves in overtime against the HO's, having their undefeated record in jeapardy. Shortly into overtime, Daniel was standing at the point and recieved a beautiful pass from a teammate before slapping it into the top right corner of the HO's net. Daniel Large claimed, "it all happened so fast. It literally happened in slow motion to me and the rest of the O's". The reaction of the O's was unprecidented, and it ultimately paved the way for an undefeated season!

The next season saw the Orchard O's drafting more and more superstars in the 2009 OHHA draft. At the same time, Trevor Clark signed with Brent House so Daniel was able to step up and take over the position of first line center. This season he has put up extrordinary numbers, averaging more than a hat trick and five assists per game.

Daniel became Co-captain of the O's in the 2009/2010 season and hopes to lead the team to yet another OHHA championship to conclude his OHHA career. His career stats are listed above.
